The clothes or the protective gear that the medical staff wears or uses consists of the scrubs. Scrubs are the clothes that the medical staff which includes the doctors, nurses and other assisting staff use in hospitals, clinics and most importantly in the surgery rooms. The name “scrubs” was given to these medical garments because of the process of washing the arms and the forearms before and after the operational procedures. This process was known as “vigorous scrubbing”. Thus was the source for the derivation of the name “scrubs”

Doctors and nurses initially wore long gowns and aprons. Medical scrubs have taken over these gowns and aprons. Scrubs now have a more proficient and more decent look which includes shirts, pants and hats. The motive and the purpose of these medical scrubs is that these were designed to provide doctors nurses and other staff with comfort and ease because these had loose fittings. When we are talking about scrubs we should know what are these scrubs made of. Scrubs are mainly made up of cotton. It is the most suitable and most preferred material used in the manufacture of these clothing. Cotton has been brought into use because of the fact that it is safe. However it has to be ironed regularly or it starts showing wrinkles. In order to remove the wrinkles polyester is added to the cotton. Adding up of polyester into the fabric helps in removing the pungent smell from the hospitals. These medical scrubs have a ratio of 55% cotton added up with 45% polyester. Cotton is for the safety and absorbent property whereas polyester removes the wrinkles as well as the pungent smell. Usually there were three primary colors for scrubs that are white, green and blue. But now days there are scrubs available in number of colors. Moreover these scrubs are now available in various designs and prints. Thus these scrubs are no longer monotonous. We can find cotton surgical scrubs in unisex designs, designers, men’s collection, women collection, lab coats, and caps and moreover Hip Flip scrubs for nurses. These scrubs today are tailored and made available in all sizes and ranges.

Scrubs are designed not only to match the comfort levels of different people but also because of their ability to soak up sweat and germs. As we know that these scrubs usually are exposed to such environment where we find number of germs, thus the criticality of these medical clothes is increased.

Most of you will remember a TV series from the 90’s ,Americas funniest home videos. The video camera was a relatively new high tech toy but the price had come down enough for them to be plentiful. As the bloopers at birthday parties, cute and cuddly animal and whacked in the crotch videos began to pile up some bright producer got the idea to get people to send them to one location so that the whole world could laugh at what would have been private embarrassments. Flash forward a decade and the new technology, web cams are all the rage. Now instead of having to send a tape to Hollywood for the sound effects to be added clever producers can green screen at home to their hearts content. When I was a kid i thought this show had the funniest videos ever; good times.

But just as in the nineties capturing your friend being hit in the nuts by a golf ball or the cat chasing his shadow up the wall is even funnier when shared with the rest of the world. After all when it comes to embarrassing your friends the more the merrier. Now all the world needed was new forms of file sharing software and the expansion of high speed internet access and presto You Tube was born. Only now instead of trying to win cash prizes the object was to become internet famous and rack up hits.

What makes the best funny videos on the net. That illusive quality of buzz. There are a few old standbys of physical comedy, the pratfall , woman slips on a banana peel or man hits his head on the low doorway. Popular sight gags since the first silent films. Then of course the funniest gag of all, man gets hit in the testicles. A guy getting hit with a ball is funny but if it is a ball that he hit himself and it ricochets back and drops him to his knees well that is a true belly laughter.

Dressing up the family pet is another time warn winner for producing some laughs on the You Tube. Chihuahuas in baby booties or a German Sheppard in sunglasses and a tee shirt are sure to get at least a few polite giggles.

Bad music videos seem to be another extremely popular comedic form of crazy You Tube video. Here again you have a decision to make. If you are going through puberty and your voice is cracking then simply singing your favorite pop tune with gusto is sure to have them ROFL, rolling on the floor laughing for the uninitiated. If you are not naturally tone deaf have no fear, you can still get plenty of laughs by making up a silly dance to the latest boy band or light hip hop tune. Some people act out a scene from their favorite film, this is for the true nerd as Star Wars is the odds on favorite for this type of frivolity.

Last and probably most difficult is the truly original wackiness. My personal favorite in this category is the two dudes in lab coats creating synchronized fountains using Mentos and Diet Soda. High nerd value as well as being well choreographed. Leave Brittany alone is one of the funniest videos i have ever I could see. Viral video is actually just another example of how unexpected. The report will probably continue to predict a big hit at the end of the pipe, so it is not possible.

The Alaskan Husky is not truly a ‘breed’ of dog in the traditional sense. The name is actually a classification for this working and sled dog. There is no written breed standard for Alaskan Huskies and it is not a registered breed or show dog. Alaskan Huskies are the descendants of several dogs: Siberian Husky, Alaskan Malamute, Border Collie, German Shepard and possibly a few others.

Most Alaskan Huskies have brown eyes, but can also have blue or blue-brown combinations. They are about 20 to 24 inches high and average about 35 to 65 pounds, giving them a slim build. Since this dog is used primarily for work, colors and markings are unimportant in breeding and vary widely from dog to dog. Alaskan Huskies can be pure black, totally white and everything in between. Tails can be long and curly or barely there. The ears are often times prick ears, but some Alaskan Huskies have ears that droop.

They do not need a lot of maintenance, as their coats tend to be short to mid-length, but do require extra brushing twice a year during shedding season (particularly in the spring when shedding is the heaviest). The coats are wooly and thick (a protective measure when in their native environment) so they are better suited to cooler climates. Living on average about 10 to 15 years, the Alaskan Husky is good with children, but not other household pets as they have a strong hunting instinct and may turn on them. Though playful, loving and generally docile, the Alaskan Husky is not a good indoor pet. They can be difficult to housebreak, and get bored easily, especially if left alone. Alaskan Huskies will become destructive, tearing things or running around in circles. They also need a lot of room to run as they have a lot of energy and need to exercise frequently.

If outside, Alaskan Huskies do need to be watched closely as they will dig under fences in order to hunt or run. They also do not make good watchdogs, as they will greet everyone with friendly barking and have been known to play with any stranger entering their territory. As a result of their mixed heritage, Alaskan Huskies have relatively little health problems, though some are prone to gastric torsion (bloat) and if they do not get enough exercise will quickly become obese, leading to other health problems.

There is a website that has great information on Alaskan Huskies and most other breeds of dogs. It has details that pertain to a dog breeds health, , Barber is a good cafe and a lively site: dogs and cats, and the fact that these links can be found at:

There were really no hospitals before the 19th century, so there was no official uniform. Single women would travel around doing house calls for the sick, but they were not very well respected because they were known to drink and carouse at night. Nuns would also perform nursing duties, and their habit was the basis for the first nursing uniforms. They consisted of a dress, a pinafore apron or a cobbler style apron, and a banded nurse’s cap.

By the 1840s, nurses began to command some respect. They wore a matronly version of a servant’s uniform. The dress was ankle-length. When they traveled from location to location they would wear coats, cloaks, and warm hats. Once inside, they donned their white hat and apron.

By the 1880s, formal nursing schools were created by Florence Nightingale. This is when the uniform really took its shape to distinguish the formally trained students from the untrained, common women who practiced nursing activities. The hat was established as a sign of rank. A colored band of ribbon would stretch across the hat indicating the level of training and experience. However, the hat was also used as a form of discipline and could be taken away for bad behavior. Nurses just beginning their training did not even get a hat until a few months into their education.

At the turn of the century, the uniform became more form-fitting, tailored, and more detailed with pockets, a button down neck, and pointy collar. A bib also covered the upper body, and gathered at the waist, and an apron was worn on the bottom. This helped to differentiate it from the servants uniform.

The most drastic changes to the nursing uniform came about from World War I. The large number of sick and wounded needing urgent care shifted the focus from form to function. The aprons proved to be bulky and hindered the efficiency of care so they were often discarded. The long sleeves were rolled up, and skirts became shorter for better mobility.

During World War II, the military nurses uniform would depend somewhat on their location. It was often made of a gray wool and rayon fabric which would have been very warm. They wore a military inspired jacket and skirt.

During the 30’s and 40’s the uniforms became more fashionable. Nursing was quickly being recognized as an exciting and respected profession.

By the 1950s, the traditional hat began to change and was replaced with a more unisex paper hat. This hat was easier to maintain and was also an attempted to attract men to the nursing profession. By the 1970s, the hat all but disappeared.

By the 1990s, scrubs or tunics, consisting of loose drawstring pants and a v-neck tunic or top, took the place of the dress. This also helped to differentiate the trained nurses from the untrained or lesser trained employees like candy-stripers or secretaries. This continues to be the uniform worn today.

Do you believe that child labor is wrong? Do you believe that children should be in school as compared to a shop making clothes that people wear? If you answered yes, to both of these, you are not alone. There are many educational institutions nationwide within our country whom have a “Sweat free Policy” with their curriculum materials as well as certain apparel. These particular institutions have adapted a “Code of Conduct for the Manufacturer of Apparel”. The apparel industry has been exposed to rampant worker abuse. A man by the name of Andrew Ross reported back in 1997 the following, “The textile and apparel industries are a showcase of horrors for the labor abuses sanctioned by the global free trade economy, where child labor, wage slavery, and employer cruelty are legion.” ~ NO SWEAT: Fashion, free trade, and the rights of garment workers, Andrew Ross, editor, 1997.

The following is some examples of apparel made in sweatshops: Sports uniforms (This includes gym uniforms); school uniforms; shoes, athletic shoes or sneakers; sweatshirts, caps, and other imprinted clothing with school’s logos; academic regalia; lab coats and staff uniforms.

What is a sweatshop? A sweatshop is a workplace which consists of systematic violations of one or more of the fundamental workers’ rights have been violated according to international law and site-of-production laws and regulations. The rights include:

Workers receiving a fair wage and benefits; Children not being subjected to working conditions that could harm them physically, psychologically, or intellectual development; Freedom from excessive work hours and forced labor, freedom from physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, and protection of workplace health and safety hazards.

A code of conduct is utilized to hold companies accountable. Most companies of today have adapted their own “Code Of Conduct”, unfortunately, company codes are often inadequate to protect the Workers.

The following list of CEO and president really all of 1998, as a reward for booking companies working in sweat shops feel the benefits.

Milagro de The Drexler, GAP $ 660,000,000

Michael Eisner of Disney $ 177,000,000

Floyd Hall, Kmart 23 million U.S. dollars

Phil Knight, Nike $ 3.000.000

Paul Charro, the pattern of Leeds CLAIR $ 7,000,000

David Glass $ 40,000,000

For example, around the sweatshopsworld.

Guatemala 37 cents an hour

El Salvador 60 cents an hour

Nicaragua 23 cents an hour

Honduras 43 cents an hour

Haiti 30 cents an hour

Mexico 50 cents an hour

China 28 cents an hour

Indonesia 20 cents an hour

Burma 4 cents an hour

Bangladesh 13-20 cents an hour

These wages are called “starvation wages”. I use to be one of those people that constantly stated that our economy can not be compared to other countries, I was innocently stating this believing that what US Companies were paying workers within these countries were fair wages within their economies, but after viewing the evidence of what the company CEO’s are making and knowing that in countries such as El Salvador as well as others, these families are not making enough to even raise their families, I have definitely sustained a change of heart.

I do feel our own economy needs a serious face lift, but why can we not be humane about it? I feel that consumers have more power than they even know. I feel that consumers should hold corporations accountable to respect the rights of workers, but not only as workers, but as human beings and they need to be paid a “living” wage, not a “starvation” wage.

I do not feel we should boycott these corporations, for why should we? We enjoy their products, the reality here is that we enjoy purchasing these items, besides, boycotting these corporations would only hurt jobs in developing countries. I support jobs for developing countries, but I feel that consumers should want the people of those countries to have jobs with dignity and fair wages. I believe the CEO’s of these huge corporations could spare some money to ensure the people whom are indeed aiding in their wealth can work with dignity and support their families, and if the CEO’s refuse? The consumers should demand fair wages. What if these children were our own children? Our own families? This places a Things / daughter or son / father of each child, a mother looking for data in different ways. They often see the epidemic as it ignores the real point is left.

Who is interested in this question for yourself about this issue, efforts to educate agencies kkeuteeseo "starvation wages" We've included a few links for you.

The medical scrubs – what should it be? – Simple: Dynamic, as characteristic as its wearer.

Schooling and on-the-job-training nurses, garb their nursing school uniforms as if they are already practicing the profession – general dress-rehearsal so to speak, only that they wear their costume always. What is the purpose?

The expensive cost of the nursing school uniforms is just a minor factor. They are the same with the formal attires used in the practice of the nursing profession whether an RN-Registered Nurse or LN/VN-Licensed (Practical)/Vocational Nurse. Hence, the highest quality uniforms although also the most expensive ones could still be used until after graduating from the basic nursing course. And almost uniforms are the same in the different nursing schools in the US. If the nursing student cross-enrolls then the only thing that he would have to change in his uniform is the name tag/patch. The general uniformity in the pattern of the nursing school uniforms is because the uniforms more or less have the same purposes – providing comfort, protection, and sanitation for the dynamic medical nurse, plus – expert habitualization in the profession. This doesn’t mean though that the nurses are disadvantaged with limited and boring nursing uniform styles that also don’t fit the work-trimmed body perfectly. In fact, there are a range of choices for medical uniforms.

Not only are these uniforms available in discount prices for wholesale/bulk-buying, but the uniforms are also available in various sizes, customized pattern, and personalized designs. Some nursing school uniforms even have fun-in-work-toony-form themes. The Cherokee uniforms and scrubs are designed for more comfort and looks-confidence in the nursing workplace. CREST scrubs and uniforms on the other have a comfortable fit and feel. Landau brand is also available for new trends of medical scrubs and uniforms, while the Barco uniforms has been an expert in the uniform business continuing their lead in the traditional medical, nursing scrubs, and corporate identity looks. Another designer for nursing school uniforms is the Dickies online scrubs. There are a lot to choose from. The nursing school uniforms are not totally restricted to such categories as top-pant scubs, warm-ups/jackets, white dresses, tunics, Oxford-shirt, maternity, smocks, unisex, 41″coats or 30/32″ jacket lab-wear. Medical scrubs-pants alone are available in different designs and patterns like basic pant, cell-phone pant, knit cuff & cargo pant, topstitch wide-leg pant, wide-leg drawstring pant, wide-leg side-vent drawstring pant, jean-style-flare leg-pant, etc. Some uniforms even especially have bar-tacked stitching at the stress points or dyed-to-match ring-snap closures.

Nonetheless, all nursing school uniforms feature impeccable tailoring and attention to detail, and have superior color-retention and stain-resilient against frequent Wash the soil. Wrinkle-resistant, but they are also hard to say sports a bright white, such as President Bush the highest quality of medical forms. Sanitation, health services, clean and professional look for is the reason for the purest form of clothing. Nursing uniforms pocket life, shoes not forget to save.
